About the Page

This page is just as it seems - a plain text, (at least very close to) exhaustive list for all of your time zone needs.

This list starts at UTC-12 and goes all the way to UTC+14, containing geographical information for all of the time zones in between. Here's an example of someone using it.

Say you live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and it's May. You want to know your time zone, so you go to this website and start searching. After a few seconds, your eyes fall on "Central North America". You think that sounds about right - it's not Mountain - far too flat for that - and not Eastern either - it's still a two-and-a-half hour long flight to Toronto.

You then see the strong warning at the top of the page saying that DST isn't accounted for. Right below it, you see the simple instructions to make sure it's correct. Spring is in full bloom (remember, it's May in this example) so you add one to the time zone, bringing it from UTC-6 to UTC-5, not UTC-7. That's it! Now you know your time zone.
